I heard you sold the EVO and you bought a 2004 911 GT3.

OK, I made that up, but it would have been cool if it was true.

Bart,

I am going to skip that GM thing in Arlington Heights tomorrow. I have an ear infection that's kicking my butt so I'm gonna rest up for Sunday instead.

That must mean they sent you off to school without the lancer? Bummer man... Then again when I was a freshman I was too drunk all the time to drive anyway
Hope you can make it! I'm switching to ESP this time, I need all the index I can get!

I've been there earlier this morning (Friday) - it just reinforced my preference for European cars over GM products... although the Corvette (C6) was nice - too bad they can't let you drive it with the traction controll off and you're limited to one run only. The GTO was an interesting car too...it has power alright, but it tips the scales at close to 4000lbs, and you could feel that even on the super-small "course" they set up.

My favorite of the group, however, was the 323i and the 530 they had. It handled like a car, rather than a wet noodle. The small Scion wasn't half bad either.

So, all in all, you're not missing much - you'll have much more fun Sunday.

Bob, you won a trophy. I think you were 11th in street tire. I told them you probably wanted the trophy instead of the eChit.

Eric was running 33s so the EVO RS was king of the rally cars today.

One of the STX scoobies (Jerry) run a 33.719 and another one had 33.5xx in the fun funs (Gary).
I'm not sure what Dan ended up with in his "I''ll never tell" ride, but i'm certain he was in the 33s.

It was nice of Eric to demonstrate how to stop without ABS

The experience is out of this planet. The acceleration is eye opening to say the least the powerband is really narrow and high up in the rev-range so getting a hold of it is difficult at 1st, but once it shows you it's dark side it seems to be the best thing that could ever happen to you behind a wheel!

I wouldn't go that far, but i'd sure like to drive (at least try to) the kart again in the future. It's fun to jump into something sitting 2in off the ground and go 1.4sec. faster that in your own car on your 1st run.

Btw, pictures are on-line - i'll try to link to them like i did last time.
