Any Soutwest Missouri Evo's

I was just wondering if there is anyone on this site that lives in the Southwest Missouri area, I have only seen 4 EVO's in this area including mine. Hell I guess it doesn't even have to be a EVO, anyone with a Lancer out there? :dunno:

Damn I guess it is time to move! :(

Its pretty dead here in St.Louis as well. I have only seen a couple of EVO's on the road since I bought mine in mid March. I see lots of Oz's though!.

Maybe a mid-missouri gtg in Columbia, or at the lake this fall would provide a central location for folks from St.Louis, KC, Springfield, etc..... ? Just one of many thoughts.

Hell yea, A gtg would be sweet, the lake would be cool, your talkin about the lake of the ozarks right? I got a good buddy with a house down there is someone would need a place to lay their head.

Yeah a friend of mine also has some small cabinettes on the bluff overlooking the lake as well. I could ask him what kind of a deal we could get....not sure how many rooms he has, as its a smaller place.

Regardless, it would be a nice meet point especially during the fall weather and foliage. I will make a few calls, and also check to see if there are some decent roads to cruise down there.

Could be a fun time, and a chance to meet other Evo/Lancer owners!

sounds good, I know that W is a great state highway for the twisties but can be a lil crowded (traffic). Alot of the roads down there are great.

Fall will be great down there. Cool air = faster cars {thumbup} im tired of this 100 degrees crap. Plus they got 93 octane down there at the lake, up here in KC we got the piss gas (91 octane).

N10S Aug 23, 2003 12:05 PM

Yeah, I feel for you guys and the gas thing....is that the best you octane you can get ? Ouch!! Time to mix-up some xylene or toulene! No wonder Jedinite from KC has contributed the fuel mixing post!!

That sounds great. And in the fall would be best hopefully I will have some more mods by then. Work has got me pegged! Can't wait when should we do this?

Compjoc Aug 23, 2003 10:10 PM

A weekend would be best for me (college). Late september, october, whenever, just give me some advanced notice and i will make plans.

We could also invite other evo/lancer owners in our areas. I know a couple evo's up here that i can ask (they arn't members on evom)

GTVEVO Aug 31, 2003 06:46 PM

I don't know about everyone else but I would say a meet with any type of Lancer would be nice. I am game for October. Any sugestions where we should meet?

turbopoo2000 Aug 31, 2003 07:07 PM

I'm in the St. Louis area, Ballwin/Manchester to be exact. It's funny because I have 2 friends that have Evos also. But they're the only Evo drivers I have seen.

GTVEVO Sep 1, 2003 06:43 AM

Great, As you have probably already read we are planning a meet at Lake of the Ozarks somtime in October. Let us know if you are in. N10S looks like he is still looking on what he can do for a place.

Compjoc Sep 4, 2003 03:05 PM

I'll talk to some other evo owners up here in KC, to see if they're interested.

Street Racer Sep 4, 2003 03:32 PM

Damn. If only I had an Evo I might have some friends. :crap:

You don't need to have an Evo to have friends, just make sure you bring plenty of money, or some good looking women!

Seriously, I think we should always keep any kind of gtg open to other lancers. I see lots of OZ lancers on the road and very few Evo's. I was out earlier on a bus trip to Tampa, but will try and re-focus some attention on trying to coordinate something.

Now we also have the new Dyno in town, and another option would be to do a Dyno Day at Axis on an upcoming Saturday. I am going to drive over to Axis next week, and can talk about that option with the owner Ron. Maybe have a bbq, do an overnight, then hit 94 down through the wine country twisties down to Herman. From there people could go north or south on 19 to either 70 (KC) or 44 (springfield), or back the curves to St.Louis.

Just an alternative idea.

I do know that we can basically schedule a full dyno day at axis for $1,250 for 10 hours. Ron says he can get 20 cars through in that period of time, and can provide graph charts including boost, A/F, etc... . If we could get 20 people to show our costs would be $62.50 per person.

Turbopoo2000 is much closer to the action at Axis, so perhaps he could help us swing the best deal and we could have a nice fall event.
