I'm really intrested on how to get involved in some road racing track events, no competition, just open track days, instructors on hand would be a plus. I'm having a hard time trying to find all the events and track days. I see all these postings of track days but is there some universal place where i can find a whole list of track days at each race course or do i have to just sift through a ton of forums untill i find a track i like along with a good date?

Being in Illinois in the wintertime might be part of the problem finding a road course track event in your area.

 

head out to gingerman in south haven michigan,

cgi motorsports runs a ton of schools there.

gingerman is a great, safe place to start tracking a car, i know, my first event was there, in an rsx

 

+1 for Gingerman. I haven't been there in my car, but I raced my bike there the very first weekend they were open back in '96. Cool track.
