2006 Formula 1 Season Underway!!!
2006 Formula 1 Season Underway!!!
So, is anyone waking up the next three days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) at 5:00AM to watch the practice, qualifying and race (respectivly)? I know I am, I have ben waiting soooo long for tomorrow and now its here!!!!!
No kidding, I am anxious to see my fellow citizen Fernando Alonso kick some A S S again. This year his Renault R26 sounds promising.
Ferrari already copied Renault's rear wing
I don't know about you guys but were I live(Tucson) they play the races most of the times at 0400am and I watch all of them, it was very very exciting.
Kimmi is a bad *** driver but I think Alonso will take the title again. Shumi was 3rd and I think this year Fiscichella has more chance with the R26 as well.
I heard Honda is steping up to the plate this year. Time will tell. Reliability is what killed McLaren -Mercedes last year
My .2c

I can't wait for the season to start. Every year since it's been back in the US I've gone with my buddy to Indy. The sound of those cars is unbelievable. We have the best seats right at turn 1. When it was raing one year the rooster tails from the tires were as high st the grandstands. And the women.
I have been counting down the minutes to the f1 season since china!! I will def be getting up at 6 am to watch those new v8s wing around the bahrain circuit.
Like always im pulling for the 2005 world champion kimi raikkonen. IMO he is the most talented driver out there right now. Dont get me wrong fernando is an amazing driver, but its easy to get points when your car doesnt break ;-). As far as Michael, i think he is beyond his prime, and i dont think the ferrari will be as dominant as it was in the past. The hondas also look strong, and i hope jenson can finally get his first W this year. Im so excited for the race this weekend, and I cant wait to see how things unravel this season!!!

That was with his new R26 engine. Also very memorable the race in Japon were Kimi went from 20th to 1st..
No ofense but Nascar is in my opinion the most boring car sports in the world. Oh WOW!! you just did 500 laps in a oval track... WOW you are the best!!
I don't see how people like NASCAR.
but I respect everyones opinionCarlos
Counting down the minutes until the first run. This year will be very exciting!! That R26 looks extremely fast and with Fernando's driving skills, there'll be no stoping him!! I will be glued to my couch to watch every single run.
Sorry man!! she is taking
. By the way, I got her to get into the Evo and I got her into the Formula one and the racing and all that good stuff..
But hey, yeah I agree, the girls with Evo and same interest in cars are a plus

I have a feeling this year will be a lot like last year. Renault and alonso will be off to a great start, with mclaren and kimi playing catch up. Their car looks like it will eventualy be fast, but they had too many problems during the winter to effectively test their cars. Hopefully mclaren can sort out their reliability this season (yea right, when pigs fly!!) and catch up before the season is over.
Oh yea and the finns are faster than the spanish

Perhaps Alonso was already European champion of go karts, he also was very young compiting in Formula 3000 and when he jumped to Formula one he did fantastic all his 3 years( 6th and better) .
The best way to explained is Strategy, we all know Mclaren pushed their car to its limits while Fernando wasn't risking that much. I truly say they are very much even.
Alonso just did a pre season busting old timer lap records at the tracks on his R 26.
I think this year will be promising, but if you guys have a couple of minutes please go and look the biography of each one, Alonso in my opinion has more beef on his side
just my .2c

I think that this year Renault will lead all the way. So far they have proven they have a better car, unlike Kimi's. Don't get me wrong, I think Kimi is an awesome driver too, the only downfall is the car he is driving. If he had the same car as Fernando, then it would be another story. It will be very interesting to find out what other teams have stepped up to the plate for some real excitement this year. My money is on the "Spaniard" (since it seems I have a thing for Spaniards [fromWRXtoEVO

Carlos Sainz(Spain) has the world's record of the most rally world titles that anyone in the history of the Rally event.
90 1st place Toyota
92 1st place Toyota
91 second place Toyota
94 second place Subaru
95 second place Subaru
98 second place Toyota
96 third Ford
97 third Ford
2000 third Ford
2002 third Ford
2003 third Ford
That is a challenge for anyone if you decide to prove me wrong on that.
Also Dani Pedrosa dominated 125, 250cc world championship on 2003-2004 2005 and this year he is compiting on superbikes and he might get the title as well
Alonso(Spain) won the 2005 Formula one title
Angel Nieto 11 times World champion
Jordi Tarres (Spain)won 7 times world champion on enduro
The 2004 Paris -Dakar rally was conquered by a Spaniard on Motorcycles and second place in 2005
So, yes, I can say 2005 was a bad *** year for the spaniards:
Motorcycles, Rally and Formula One

Carlos
