??Evo 6 camber settings??
??Evo 6 camber settings??
Hey guys,
I have a 1999 Evo 6 RS. I use my car only for circuit racing. My suspension broke a while ago so I have not raced it in a year. This past week I re-installed my stock suspension only retaining my HKS camber plates. Since I had only run my stock suspension without any front camber adjustment, I don't know what camber setting to begin with. I run with the stock 17x7.5 OZ wheels shod with Kumho Victoracers, 225/45/ZR-17. I will run the car in a local solo cross event this weekend, May 17-18. I will let you guys know how it goes, wish me luck.
Thanks for your help,
Julian Gutierrez Jr.

You should probably post in the "Suspension / Brakes / Wheels / Tires" forum. You might get some more answers. Aslo, I don't know how many people have camber plates with a stock suspension, so you might not get a straight answer.
On a side note, I think you shpuld post a pic of what the car looks like now with the stock suspension back on, you definitely have the 4x4 look now.
This is what his car used to look like before with the Leda's and the Advans:

Claudius,
Thanks for the reply. I was wondering where you were that you hadn't advised me on an appropriate initial setting. I think I will take your advice and start at -2 degrees for my first practice. Then I will take the tire temps at outer, center, inner areas and determine if I need any more camber. I hope the car handles allright, as I was used to racing it with the Ledas. Four new 2.5lt WRX STIs, have already arrived here in PR. I am pretty sure there will be at least one or two there at the solo cross. I hope I can beat them, representin for Mitsu.
Anyway, I'll let you know how I do.
