Hawk Pads fitted on Evo 6 (pix)

Hi guys, brake pads for this car are very expensive here. So I decided to try some Hawk pads from raceshopper.com. I must say that the compound is great for street use... once bedded in properly, the bite was much better than the oem pads, with less noise and no perceptible fade. FAR LESS DUSTING TOO!
Hawk# :
HB 180.640 F = rear
HB 193.670 F = front

But unfortunately, the pad friction area is too narrow for the rotor, leaving a ring of unused rotor at the center. The rears are ok. I am going to mount some OEM pads in the front for now...

This is the old OEM Brembo front pad :

Hawk's PR department replied to my email :
"We are working on getting the proper tooling for the EVO. I would say we will have something in 10-12 weeks. Thank you for the compliments on our pads"

good news.

Dude, i sold the E6. Will consider trying the Ferodo DS2500 for the next car... I was very happy with the hawk street pads. On the basis of your experience, I will try the ferodos.
Regards,
Jemm.

I hope the great one does not mind me answering a Q directed at him
Raceshopper.com sells the Ferodo pads for the E6/7/8 Brembos in the DS2500 street compound.

$165 (front), $69 (rear) 1-800-733-8380. Ask for Edwin.

I would personally go with Pagid RS14 (organic) or DS3000 plus if you dont mind the squeal
Claudius, please qualify this statement. Remember not everyone runs their car as hard as you do. I for one don't do trackdays (no track to trackday on! ). Most posts in the MLR seem to favour the DS2500 pad quite well!

Those pads that are pictured are for the Ferrari F40/F50 caliper. It fits, but it's not right.

I swear, I don't know what I have to do to convince one of you guys to buy our pads.

How's this:

CARBOTECH HAS THE *CORRECT* PADS FOR YOUR CAR...DAMMIT!!!

prices are even on our website.....
