New WORKS Blue Brake Pads

Just wanted to let everyone know that WORKS has a new brake pad on the market, the WORKS Blue.

WORKS developed this brake pad specifically for someone who is going to primarily drive their car on the street but also wants to take it to the track. The more aggressive compound will grip better under high temperatures, but unlike a pure racing compound the WORKS Blue pads come up to operating temperature quickly. The WORKS Blue brake pads also work fine with a stock rotor setup unlike other more aggressive pads that will quickly eat up the OEM rotors. In addition they will give you nearly silent operation when used in conjunction with the factory shims. The WORKS Blue pads are comparable in performance to the Ferodo DS 2500. If you are planning the occasional track day, or are a track novice and want a great setup for both road and track, the WORKS Blue brake pads are for you.

Remember accelerating fast is only half of the equation.

+1.

I went the website, but these aren't listed yet. Personally looking for something a bit more aggressive, but don't see anything listed on the site.

When will it be updated?

The website should be updated with these soon, but here is the pricing:

$159 Front
$119 Rear

These are about as aggressive as you can go before having to switch rotors, and before things get a bit sketchy for street driving.

thanks

Are they more comparable to hawks HPS or HP+?

I am running Hawk HPS but want something much quieter and little more fade resistant

The Blues are really quiet.

As for the two statements: Basically they are a great dual purpose pad (road and track). If you go to a more aggressive race only type pad they will chew up stock rotors, make a lot of noise, and they can be a bit dangerous because they need to be at a higher temperature to work properly.

Hope that helps to clarify things

The maximum operating temp is 1050 F. I don't know the friction coefficient off hand but will try and find out for you.
