What hawk pads?
Hps pads can make a little noise. Hp+ will make more noise. Anymore pad and it will make a ton of noise.

Slotted rotors will not make you car stop any better.

I have Centric slotted rotors with Hawk HP+ pads (and SS lines + Motul fluid) that I use for road racing, autocrossing, and daily driving. They brake well enough to stop my fast *** on the road course on a dime while putting down blistering lap times, and they don't make any noise due to liberal application of grease on the backing plates.

I had the Hawk HP+ and didn't like them compared to the Carbo-tech pads I'm know running on the street. I experienced brake fade with the Hawks on the road course, so I switched to the Carbo-Tech XP11' & 12's for track use. Definitely go w/ the SS brake lines & Motul 600, you'll be glad you did.

Blamo, were yours HPS or HP+. I'd be surprised if you caused them to fade, but I don't, though it depends on the track. Are Carbo-tech XP11s the same level as HP+? The Hawk HT-10 are better for the track but not good for street.

HPS is a better street pad/every day aggressive driving pad. Had them on my G35 (don't make for my IS350 yet ) and I really liked them. Didn't squeak and the dust was very manageable. HP+ are more track day compound and can be pretty harsh on your rotors for every day use. They also make a bit more noise and throw a lot more dust than the HPS.

The Powerslot rotors and Hawk pads really mesh well together. The two companies work closely together and I've not had a bad result with that combination.

HP+, and I did have fade on Sebring Raceway, however, to be fair, I hadn't upgraded to Motul 600 at that time. As to the Crbo tech XP 11's, I was told that they were on the same level as Performance Frictions 97's by Robi. I've had great success with them on the track. I also run their hi performance street pads with excellent results, they stop incredibly well too.

Well, I'll talk to you guys later, I'm off to "the Dragon, Deals Gap,129', to test out my REO-1R's with the FPGreen. I've got my video camera mounted, I'll post if I get anything good.
