Lowering Springs *OR* Coilovers
Lowering Springs *OR* Coilovers
Ok I have a small problem... the last piece to this add-on buying spree is the suspension with sway bars...
my problem i have talked to so many people and read so many reviews i'm not at a loss.
so i have 2 simple questions
if you do track days of 10-20 per year and it's your daily driver what would you do?
Lowering Springs with Sway bars
CoilOvers with sway bars...
and if you can recommend some of both? i have been looking and looking and WOW i'm lost now... i don't want a 4k solution... but i'm open to all options at this point...
thanks for posting...

People are running the Espelir or Swift springs and I'm thinking Roispec's new springs should be out by now. Whiteline roll center correction, trailing arm bushings, rear bump steer bushings and a stiff rear bar 25MM should be on your list.
If its not broke, don't fix it... The car handles great stock. Do a couple events first, then mod, I say. And do it once, do it right... if you're serious about track events, c/o's are the way to go. Poster above me forgot to mention Hotchkis, as far as springs go.
Holy cow, you plan to do 10-20 whole track days each year? Wow, that's a ton, so you have no business going with lowering springs. I recommend coilovers, and leave the sway bars alone.
If you want a basic set that is going to be better than stock all-around without hurting your performance and providing full adjustability, then get the Megan Tracks.
If you want the next step up with a setup that has already has the R&D done for you with everything preset to go out and rip up the track at a relatively low cost, then go with the PIC/Pure Tuning TSOs.
If you want to go to the NEXT level for $2-3k, then do a full Robispec suspension package.
Whatever you do, don't just get springs + sway bars and don't pick a random set of coilovers and add sway bars. Only do sway bars as part of a KNOWN package/combo.

So my advice is to leave the suspension alone and spend the rest of your budget on track days. Then after a few years of learning to drive the car and actually being able to drive at the limits consistently you can then make an intelligent choice yourself as to what type of suspension modifications to make.

A good read that talks about stock struts, it gets good in July.

I agree with everyone else.. if your tracking that much get the coilovers WT mentioned. I only get 2-3 times a year in, so my Swift springs/Hotchkis rear sway suite me perfect.
I would suggest, however, that you hit GTWorx up for some bump steer bushings, they really help!
