I tried installing a set of coilovers but I was unsuccesful. I need assistance.

I tried to install my d2 coilovers today and I could not uninstall the coilovers on the car because the bottom bolts and nuts have alot of torque on them I think I might need some sort of air tool. Can some body help me uninstall the six bolts on the coilovers? I'm located in stamford connecticutt.

Tried hand tools and liquid wrench and I could not get the large bolts off. I know air tools would do the trick but I dont have any.

Stick your floor jack handle over your wrench. Its really not that hard to break loose.

Thats what I used to install and uninstall my mines brace. I tried using the jack with wrench and it sliped on the bolt a little and the bolt got a little stripped I might try it again tommorrow but more carefully. The larger bolts are on alot tighter than I expected. What I noticed too is that the coilover was compressing while I was trying to break the nuts loose what a pain.

Agree, put some good old WD-40 and let it over the night, will be cake. Going to install my coilover as well soon, and have no air tool.

It will break, u just need WD-40 and leverage. 1 person holds the bolt head with a wrench and the other breaks the nut with a breaker bar. If it still doesnt break then get a steel pipe on that breaker bar and more muscles.
