ECU removal GTS 2009

Hi guys,

I'm trying to remove my ECU to get it flashed by Works team. I was think of RRM stuff but I'm not so good with wires and all this stuff and also, canadian lancer's supposed to be diffirent at learning then USA lancer's.

Well this is to ask you how do I remove the (L) plug surrounded by a black metal. I already removed the airbox to get access to the bolts but when it's out, the (R) plug can be easily removed, but the other one I have no clue.

I sent the HVAC control unit to Works .. instead of my ECU because I was reading and reading .. but on the wrong year ... crap so now that they told me it was under the hood right to the airbox I need your help.

Thanks a lot.

it's bolted just to the right of the air intake close to the firewall, you can't miss it. disconnect both terminals of the battery to be safe and take the battery out completely for a noob at this stuff like yourself. unplug the ecu and unbolt it. not that hard

I know how to unbolt the ECU, but there is 2 plugs, one indicated by (R) and the other one is (L) .. take a lot at yours and you will see that there is a black metal surrounding the (L) plug so I can't remove it .. that's what I'm talking about.

Thanks for your help.
