...... put it in the bank for a ralliart or evo. Moding a lancer is a big hallow tunnel. In other words, it's kind of a waste of money.

Well if you really want to do something with your money (don't recommend it), just go through RRM, they will take care of you.

this...
my friends helped me realize what a waste buying performance parts for the lancer was... as for springs.. its basically coil overs or don't get any..

people don't notice that your car is lowered unless you do a dramatic drop or you tell them about it.. as with performance parts.. look at the dyno thread..... not much performance gain for spending +$350....

if you have 700.. pay your car off... if its not paid off

wow. no nice reccomendations... well 700 u can look in the private for sale section to enhance your lancers looks. an ebay intake will do the same as any other intake. def will please your hearing with that grrrr sound haha but thats about it. like said lancer isnt fond of na parts but turbo u can make more but 700 wont get u there. so for ur looks n lil sound n gain of some hp i say just ebay cold air intake and some sprint springs or tein stechs tho some say ride rough im pleased with them ... check the lancer private section you can get it all dirt cheap probably have yourself 500 bux left over and put it towards bills or some other mods if you'd like just pm me and ill tell you what would be worth your dollar rather than spendin 300 bux for something that wont get you far as a 120 dollar part. oh and yeaaa evo all the way if u can afford it... ralliart still expensive.

If you want real performance gains, springs on the stock struts can actually lead to a reduction in handling performance. People seem to assume that just slapping on some stiffer and shorter springs will suddenly turn their car into a race car when in reality the suspension is designed to work as a system. If you just want looks, springs are certainly an option.

dang everyone hates on the lancer..if i had more money or a steady job def woulda bought the evo or raliart but i only work summers and make about like 2 or 3 gs a summer and i pay for all my bills so i dont have enough for a car payment of like 3 or 400... so i really should just make it look "cool" instead of wasting green on the engine??? thats depressing to hear but w.e maybe in a couple years ill just drop in a evo engine i know a kid thats done that to 2 other lancers he has a evo himself.. just would mess up that beautiful warranty

We aren't trying to depress you, just save you some money and heartache. Honestly, putting an evo engine in that lancer would be a huge mistake. You'd be better off selling it and taking that difference of money you'd put into the engine and put it towards something else.

The lancer is a great daily driver. But that's about it. Keep saving your money and taking care of your car. Then when you get a nicer job in the future, you'll be able to afford a beautiful evo .

Nobody is "hating" on the Lancer, we're stating common knowledge. Dropping an Evo engine in is not easy and I suspect your friend is pulling your leg.

get some wheels, a drop, a GTS lip kit.. or something..work on the outside.. its gonna be a lot more depressing when you spend 700 on performance parts and barely feel a difference..i much rather look at a nice, different looking car everyday instead.

Man don't be all down!! I have seen super bad azz lancers in the past. Speed isnt everything. If you even considered buying a reg lancer, and actually bought one then obviously you are not that much into speed. Just make your car look as great as possible. Number 1 best suspension drop you can get. #2 the SICKEST wheels you can get. No knockoffs or common wheels. Since it is a reg lancer get bad azz chit so people have to notice it and recognize that its nice!! Just save up and do it little by little. DO not buy anything you are not 100% about!!!! The worst thing is buying something twice. Good luck!!!
