Not sure if I heard the details right, but is there a Lancer GTS 2010 "Touring" edition that includes "enhanced sound proofing"?

I'm just curious if anyone has this and if the car is noticeably quieter than a 2008 or 2009 GTS. I've been doing a sound proofing project (started with doors, trunk and lately parts of the floor) which has yielded OK results - but not as great as I had hoped... Am curious what enhancements are key to quieting the car down a little (road noise, don't mind the exhaust/engine noise)...

I know the EVO MR has a touring package with enhanced sound proofing that includes a thicker windshield. Just not sure what enhancements were made for the 2010 GTS (for one thing, I know there is now an insulator under the hood - whereas there was none for the 2008 and 2009).

I've heard no plans for this whatsoever, and I doubt it will happen. I honestly feel like the 2009 has very little road noise (and I had a spring kit on my previous one). All things considered, I'd consider it at the lower spectrum of noise in the cabin, although people have told me otherwise. I can understand the noise complaints you might have that I and others have as well (glove box, door panels, windows, etc.), but in general I feel that the car is decently quiet. By no means is it near luxury car status, but nowhere near other cars I've been in.

Out of curiosity, what did your soundproofing work entail?

 

I own a 2010 GTS and road noise is none.. I don't hear any road noise with the radio off..
