New *RECALL* on GSR clutch master cylinder clip

Mitsubishi Motors Japan just ordered a recall on all GSRs (5MT) from 2007 to 2010 to replace a clip that holds the clutch line to the master cylinder. According to the Mitsubishi Recall Site, the old clip may cause the hydraulic clutch line to leak fluid so they are replacing the clip with a more durable one.

I thought they were gonna replace all those damn plastic master cylinders but I guess not

Sorry, this is currently for JDM only but as usual, the USDM recall will more than likely follow a week or so later just like the previous ones.

Good, I have fluid leaking down my clutch pedal. My oil feed line to my turbo is leaking also. Another recall?

Chances are the current clips were cheaper and Mistsu thought they would perform the same. If they can save X dollars for each EVO, its more profit for them. I really don't see that to many mistus on the road so I'm guessing the EVO is the only thing keeping them profitable. I could be wrong, just my .02cents.
