about scuff plates

Hey what are scuff plates? And what do they do?

Its jus a piece of plastic made to look metallic that goes somewhere, (usually on the bottom of the doorway, on the car itself), made to prevetn you from scratchin or "scuffing" that part of your car.[IMG][/IMG]

They have aluminum ones too, which are much better than plastic.

I ordered the one from ebay that are around 30$ + Shipping. They are polished stainless with a Lancer logo on them. They actually look nice and are well made. For the price I can't complain about them. And they fit right without rubbing under the door when it's closed.

Here what I'm talking about:

The ralliart aluminum one are probably better quality but they cost more. It depend how much money you want to spend. If I had knew about the ralliart one I would probably have ordered those. The one the dealer showed to me were weird plastic one. and he was selling them like 150-200$ CAN
