Back seat cover?

I'm thinking about getting a dog but use my X as my DD (I'm not $$ to own a second car). Has anyone come up with / found a cover or something that looks nice that will cover the back seats so they aren't destroyed by a dog? Would rather not use a sheet or blanket...

Thanks in advance...

They sell these things that you can find at any local pet store, you will have to figure out how to hold it in place with the front seats.

I have two little kids, worse than a dog as far as damage. Just got black towels. Blends in well and easy to clean.

i've got 2 kids and a dog (corgi pup). use your kids as the blanket - i.e- have them hold the dog on their lap. that way you can have your kids wash themselves and you wont have to clean the back seats.

.....or just put a old towel on the seat.

When I dropped my kids off in the morning, I used color-matched felt fabric to cover the seat. The material is available in any fabric store in a multitude of colors.

Good idea FJF but I'm **** enough I'd want my cover to REALLY fit the seat (aka use elastic to get the edges to fold under the seat padding, etc).

Zeke, yeah, I thank God everyday for not having kids so your first suggestion doesn't work so well..

I have a 110 lb golden retriever i.e. lots of hair and would love to find a way to take him with me without getting the car covered in fur. He moves around too much for sheets.

I agree, the worst thing is the hair, you be cleaning the hair everytime you take him/her for a ride, unless its a small dog..

Be careful of the commercial one shown above in the picture. I used one in a different car. The one I bought has or had Velcro openings for the seat belt clips. The rough hook side of the Velcro rubbed against the cloth of my seats and ripped up the fabric. If you don't align the Velcro perfect it will destroy your seats.
