41k miles maintenance... need reccommendations!
Hi everyone! Well my car has put up 41, 135 miles already through almost 2 years
A lot of the driving has been done on high ways from commuting to and from work to home. Did all the reccommended oil change either from mitsubishi and firestone using synthetic blend at about 3-4000 miles depending on busy I am with my schedule.
I just did oil change today and firestone called for a reccommended fuel injection cleaner at $90. Is it useful to do what they say to get it flushed? I haven't use those bottle fuel injector a lot. I just use it like 3 times I think so far. Also what other fluids do I need to change out at this time? Do I need to go to dealer to do all of them or go by firestone to do it? I just don't want all the labor charge to be killing me while I can do all/any of them by myself.
Please give me some inputs

using injector cleaners are not needed.
Run quality fuels and keep up with other engine maintenance and you will be fine.
avoid shops trying to take you for a ride.
I use shell gas ONLY. because I know it's quality. I just want to get my cvt fluid swap done soon without spending too much $, but I think I'll have to take it to a dealership to have it done
Firestone is ripping you off with fuel injector cleaner. Also be aware of your mechanic at Firestone.

thanks for the video defcon, I will check it out when I get home. Also guys how long do you go to replace your transmission fluids? The reason why I'm trying to avoid the dealer is that I don't want to go in with my RRM intake installed and they'll be like oh you've voided your warranty and they entered it in their computer and i'm fawked!!
Any advice on anyone with mods to their car that has been to the dealership, how to handle the situation?

intake wont void the warranty unless something happens that could have been directly affected by the intake...aka intake falling apart and a bird gets sucked in and destroys the engine LOL.
I've been through three dealers and none of them have had any problems with any of my upgrades. As for the tranny fluid, I plan on changing mine soon, up to 53k miles. But it will be done in my garage, that way i know it will be done right

Oh really? so the service manager saw those mods and didn't put a note in the system that says "oh hey this guy got a intake, better jot this down so if he comes in with a service warranty then i'll void it!" ? I am really satisfied with the RRM v2 because my throttle response is back to where I like it, whether if it's better than stock I don't know but my car actually accelerate now when I press on the gas! LOL.... from 3500 rpm on up to like 4500 I don't get a freeze or bog anymore.
Gas mileage per gallon still the same as the V1, usually I get 390-400 a tank, which is around 13.8 gallon (running on E :P ) so about 28-29 combined
Highway driving more than city though....
Does anyone happen to have their manual, can yall look to see what's the recommended miles to change all your fluids, like brakes, power steering, transmission... ? I wish I can do them all myself so I know it's done right.
kalpakiotis, how do you plan to change your transmission fluids by yourself?
