strut bar torque specs?

Hey all. I just got my rear strut bar custom made by a friend. He made it using a 1/4" galvanized metal pipe of some sort and weld it to two L shape bracket. The bar is very strong and weigh a good 5lb or so lol... what I mean is that it's pretty heavy, heavier than the stock GTS front strut bar. Thumbs up to him btw.... Anyways back on topic

I saw various rear strut bar made from dif vendors that either uses one bar only with 2pt mount, 1 bar connected to a bracket that mounts directly onto two bolt of each sides of the car, and 2 different bar for each of the bolts. I have the one bar with 2pt mount just like the RRM ones. But my question is does it matter where I mount it to? Should I mount it to the bolt toward the seats (front of the car) or should I just leave it where I mount it right now to the lower bolt toward the trunk (end of the car) Also what is the torque specs needed for these? I just tighten it as hard as possible using a 14mm wrench, but not to the point where I have to struggle or strip it (hope not! )

And also what is the torque specs needed for the front stock gts strut bar? I have a ES sport 09 but I got the front strut from a 08GTS which I pretty much tighten it by hand also not to the point of struggling but I dont know what happen if I over tighten it. I been driving fine with it. I did notice a lot better cornering with this new rear strut bar. I just don't know what torque I need to put it.

going from memory...it's something like 30 ftlbs. When I did mine, I used a ratcheting wrench with about a foot long handle altogether...gave it a good snug pull a few times. I probably went to ~40ish ftlbs...but no big deal. To damage those bolts and nuts u really need to get the torque up there. As long as u got it on there tight ull be fine.

oh ok well i went on dif forum and i searched on 9glancers and they said 33 +-5 ft lb/in so i decide to torque it around 36 ft lb/in hehehe..... one problem is my rear strut some how "shrunked" in millimeter cause i'm guessing of heat so I can't reposition it to the bolt near the seats .... now my sub is like taken over my trunk and I can't find a place to mount it to the chassis because the damn spare tire cover is so big if i drill a hole it will be on the cardboard cover lol....
