I had a 08 lancer with RF audio system. I found out the sound of the system is not surrounding, it feels incomplete and its because the lack of sound on the back. I know many cars have speakers on the back of the car, i mean on the top of the rear seat. I asked bestbuy bout it, they say the back is made of metal and plastic, will look ugly if cut holes and lot of work to be done.
What will be the solution? what size of speaker should i put on? Should I change the AMP as well?
Expertise please help !

 

i am thinking of doing the same thing. i have not yet really looked at the rear deck to see what needs to be done. i imaging building a rear deck speaker frame out of plywood and install it onto the rear deck under the rear deck panel. im sure there will be a bit of cutting of the rear deck metal frame.

 

Try component speakers?
Not sure about upgrading the amp.
