Need your opinion
I am currently looking to buy a 2008 lancer, i found one for what seems to be a good deal. Its a 2008 lancer gts with front damage, it needs a new bumper, hood and fenders, and airbags driver and passenger, 62k miles for $5900. is it worth it?
I would pass. If the collision was bad enough to set off the airbags there is no telling what other little things might be wrong. 6 grand for a car that needs thousands more in repairs and 62k miles just seems like a headache. This is of course my opinion its your money. In my market i have seen GTS's going for 10-14K in perfect shape with less miles. I know its more money but......

Regardless, I'd say far too much.
Which sucks, because the NADA value for an 08 GTS like mine with sunroof, R/F audio package, and navigation package has a trade-in value of $10,800. Mine drives like its brand new and I know I STILL wouldn't get that price, at a dealer at least.
As I learned with someone that I had a 5 mph slide-in accident last year (ABS decided to let me skid into someone on this occasion), a small accident on your GTS can run you 3 grand. And that was just one fender, skirt, tire, some "wheel work", and paint (and ****ty GEICO insurance).
A carbon fiber hood like what I'm looking to replace mine with (which has no damage) runs about 800 bucks. Fenders? I'm sure they're a pretty penny too.
Since it needs new airbags, I wouldn't be surprised if this was a salvage title.
Overall, if you're not looking for this as a daily driver, want to slap a turbo kit on it, and just see what the hell it can do, go for it. I would. It's a good price for that, but ONLY that.
If you're looking for a daily driver, look elsewhere.

You'd definitely be spending more than what you'd pay for a Lancer that's already together just fixing this one up unless you're planning on going full "because racecar" and stripping out/selling off the interior anyway.
Also, is there any kind of frame damage? If the collision was bad enough to set off the airbags, I'd worry about it driving right even after repairs were done.
I hate to say this because it looks like it's got most of what you need intact, but it's what it'd need to drive correctly that'd eat your wallet whole.
