Hi there. Dealer was recently changed my Ecu and ever since then I knew there was something wrong with my car. It literally felt like an NA car.

Today I was doing few pulls to test my boost gauge and it seems like car only makes about 16~17psi. I did 3rd and 4th gear pulls to make sure. I searched on the forums, and saw a few people claim that stock Evo should make anywhere between 20-21psi.

What do you think might be causing this? Dealer was told me prior to my Ecu change they were checked all the boost leaks, vacuum leaks and tested all the relays according to the dealership everything was fine except the Ecu.

 

where are you seeing the 16-17PSI at redline or between 4k-5500rpm???if your seeing it at redline thats because boost tapers off at redline to about 15-17psi. if your seeing it at 4k - 5500rpm thenyeah something wrong.

There are a few things that will cause the ecu to run low boost as well as mechanical faults . i would get evoscan and log the ecu and check for any dtc's.
Things to log would be ect, boost , boost error correction ,wgdc, as well as the usual.
P.S I have had my ecu in and out of my car and I bent one of the pins once so maybe check those as well.
