Of course it has to happen on Halloween. Driving into work today in S-Sport Manual mode and after about 6 miles into my drive I stopped at a light to make a right turn and noticed my gear is stuck on '2'. I make the right turn and realize I'm still in 2nd and I cannot change. I pull off into a neighborhood where I can see if I can fix it with the car running and nothing I do with switch seems to make any difference. I didn't get any check engine lights. I put the car back into auto mode and switch it to normal and shut the car off, wait a few seconds and start it back up. Luckily it starts shifting normally again and make my way to work in Normal, auto mode. This has got me panicked, is this a sign that I've got a bad problem brewing? About a year ago I started getting the failing ACD pump .
