Trans Temp Gauge Sensor

Please advise if i can use one of the 3 drain plugs shown in the attached image as a bung to install a Temp sensor.

i would put the sensor to a locaton closest to the clutch plates where most of the heat is generated. From the looks of it, the drain plug closest to the shock absorber looks good to me. I tried to circle it using ms paint
