quick question about normal mr behavior

ok so I am looking into getting a x mr and took one for a test drive at a local dealer and in normal mode with it in d the car through the gears hesitates a bit, It feels like a typical automatic hesitation like when it shifts into second it I feel it shift then engauge, maybe milliseconds but I can feel it and was just wondering if this is typical driving behavior when the trans is in normal mode and in D. Just thought I would ask all your tc-sst goers out there. I did manual mode and it seemed to shift fine so I assume for normal d mode the slower shifting is normal.

Hope I explained it well enough. Any questions please let me know.

Hope to get my MR tomorrow and join the group cause I love the MR and the way it drives.

Thanks again and any input at all don't feel hesitant to put in!

ya the normal mode is made too feel like an normal automatic gearbox ,
sport mode and s sport was built with jurkyness ( not sure its the right word lol )
so it feels like a sport car lol... not sure why

go try it with s sport mode with asc off and go for a rip !
youll like it but if your thinking of moding go get a gsr for now ...
the sst cost lots of money .. for fixing and oil changes/ and filters

nope no mods planned for a couple years, all stock for now. I'm just gonna enjoy the car and auto trans. I've been driving manuals for too long and this seems like a decent comprimise.

Thanks again for the reply!

Transmission might've been cold so hence the lazy shifts...

yeah, I've purchased a warranty for the reason of that trans being so expensive to fix. But it still have the remainder of the factory warranty also.

When on the occasion I drive my MR on the street or to events/races it's always in Manual sport mode. However nothing beats S-Sport mode for shifting response while on the track. Here's a short video my car at the track.
