Issue with SSP Transmission Cooler?

So I've been running my SSP Front Mount Transmission Cooler w/ 2" deep pan as well as there Pro Red Fluid now for roughly 8k miles, most of those DD (no track time on the setup). I noticed under some minor inspection my vehicle that I have a leak (haven't been able to remove the front bumper to fully inspect) weather its minor or major i'm not quite sure yet, though it doesn't seem to be major at this point. I cant tell if its just one of the AN fittings maybe leaking (doesn't appear to be a bad hose) or the pump maybe giving out. Thats why i'm asking anyone who is running this setup, have you had this issue in this area? If so what was the solution? Do you think it could be the pump, or would it more likely be a bad AN fitting or an AN line that has backed its way out of the pump. Any insight would be great. I just ran the car hard and saw fresh Red fluid so I know its coming from the pump or line (and not another area and just dripping onto the pump).

Heres some pics:

Jeremy, you've been running this the longest, have you seen this or have this happen to you or your setup?

Thanks!

You might have a fitting leaking. Try and clean all the fittings as good as possible. Drive the car for a little while, and then recheck to see if there is any fresh fluid coming out of one of the fittings. If you need a new fitting, you can call us, we have them in stock.

Thanks Kris. Im going to remove the bumper on Monday and clean the area up, and tighten up all the fittings (if they need tightening at all). If they are snug during the inspection, I will pull the AN fittings and catch what fluid I can, and clean them as well as throw a little 262 loctite on them (if you think that might help) and put them back and hopefully that solves my problem. The pump doesn't make any funny noises so I have a feeling its nothing more then a loose connection. Another member from EVOXFORUMS said they had the same issues after running the setup after roughly 6 months, and it was that a line had loosened itself up. If I need the AN fitting I will contact you or Jeremy.

Thanks!

Why don't you guys call me when something like this happens? My direct line is in my signature....please, pick up the phone if you EVER have ANY problems, I'm up till around 2 am every night.

So anyway, I highly doubt the pump is going bad (never seen that happen yet) so I'd put my money the A/N fitting came a little loose, letting some fluid drip out. Not sure if you have to take the bumper off, or just drop the under panel to reach it. I have my fog light removed so I can just reach up and grab it. To answer your other question, No mine doesn't leak at all, and never has there. I did have to lock tight my bolts on the ssp transmission pan, but that's about it. I would recommend checking the bolts a day or so after you do the original install, and then every couple months after that. I race my car allot, so I'm always making sure everything is tight before I get to the event. So check the fitting, if it's not that...call me, we'll go from there.

So, a little update...

I just tightened everything up nice and snug, right before I headed home for the evening (roughly an hour ago) from the shop I work at. My drive is roughly 25 min (mostly Freeway @ 75mph). After just that little drive I can already see fresh fluid beginning to accumulate at the AN fittings again. It actually looks like its coming from behind the washer (which appears to be a crush, but correct me if I'm wrong) that is behind the 22mm (silver nut). I attempted to tighten those as well, but they were fully tight (not even a budge). Basicly anything that was part of the system got fully tightened, but I have a feeling that its not actually leaking directly from the AN fitting but from right were the crush washer meets the pump.

So heres what I'm wondering, I've been told that using loctite on AN fittings shouldn't be necessary (or even Teflon tape). I really don't know what to do next, other then replace the AN fittings, though its in my personal and professional opinion that its not the AN fitting that its directly leaking from. Its going to be a pain to catch all the fluid, and attempt to put it back, but I guess thats the route I will be heading down next. If replacing the AN fittings doesn't fix it, then I guess we will know its the pump.
