Since having a new transmission installed(thank you Mitsu Canada)about 3000km's ago,my MR doesn't seem to be as smooth on downshifts when in super sport. Its as if she does not blip the throttle hard enough, resulting in a jerky downshift.

Its only a very small detail, the transmission is super smooth and perfect in all other modes and shifts ect.

Anyone know if there is any adjustment on how agressive the throttle blips are?

I'd like to have super big blips like the Lambo in this video.....

why would you want to adjust it. All of the dct cars i've driven blip at wot for a little as possible to get it just barely to lower gears new found rpms. Any higher than that the clutch has to slip to de-rev the engine.

As per orginal post,it does not seem to blip the throttle hard enough resulting in a harsh, jerky downshift. The same as if you were to heel and toe downshift a regular manual transmission and not blip the throttle.

In super-sport the transmission gives a jerk as feedback to you that the downshift has been completed. Hell, it even says this in the manual..

O well it must normal then.

Strange though, the old transmission never use to do it before it failed and the only other MR I drove never did it either.

Can you take a video of the situation? Like of the tach during downshifts? Maybe that will help understand the situation.

But you definitely feel the shifts more in supersport mode.

Ok so I drove around in SuperSport last night... and while the gear changes are more aggressive... the upshifts and downshifts were still well-coordinated and pretty smooth.

The only jerkiness I noticed was when slowing down and there was a big change in momentum... but even this didn't happen too often.

So maybe you should take it back to the dealer.

maybe the software needs to adjust/relearn itself, so I would drive it around a little longer

That's a good point too. I remember when my car was "reset" the transmission would sometimes bounce of the rev limiter when accelerating at WOT...then after a short while it stopped doing that.
