***TCU Development Donation Feeler***

So there has been some discussion about people donating to get the TCU software for the MR tunable. Everyone knows who is doing all the work to develop this, but no one is going to do it for free. So, this donation is for the actual TCU, and paying the individuals for their hard work.

Now, this is not the donation thread, it is just to see who is going to donate FOR SURE. We dont need anyone posting saying yea I can donate, but then when the time comes, you flake out.

I will keep a list on this first post of everyone who is willing to donate. If we can get 500 people to donate $10, thats 5 grand. Thats a lot of money, but it is for the progress of this community.

You dont have to have an MR to donate. Its for the greater good.

Now without futher ado, here is the List:

1. Me - $10
2. Mnauelg1702
3. adog
4. bluedub1 - $10
5. Subi.convert

Total as of 9NOV11 18:40 $1732

BTW, I opened this thread in the General section so more people would see this thread. ALSO, if you are already on the list on EXF, dont post in this thread.

No offense, but until there is an actual place to send money, this is useless. Its the same with the "Do you want to see a company build this part" threads. Everyone says they will buy it, but in reality no one does.

Put me down for $1,000,000.

What is the point of this thread? To lure some amazing super hacker into the idea of working on this? Bryan is already willing and trying, he just needs a TCU. If you really want to help, donate money to him, or call/visit your local salvage yards and find a TCU. Saying your down to give 20 bucks is pointless. Not trying to be a dick, just calling it like I see it. Have you spoken to Bryan about this at all, or is this just your idea? You may want to get him on board, maybe have him and Colby setup a donation e-mail address and make this a little more official...

Yes its been under heavy debate "elsewhere". So far we've gotten over $1600 and a vendor is donating a TCU. We have the "workers" lined up; same folks that have been doing it already but lacked a TCU and community support. Way to not step up, EvoM.....

Do you really think I would start up a thread that already has almost 50 people ready to donate without talking to bryan and tephra?

Don't pollute this thread

Did you think that comment would motivate people to give now? Why is it the community's responsibility to pay for the R&D that the vendors and tuners are going to profit from?

Just my opinion... If you and others want to give money then by all means that's your choice, but don't come here and try to call out people for not "stepping up".
