Delayed shift from 2nd

While driving my car under light throttle will shift fine from 2nd to 3rd. Under Mid throttle is has a long delayed shift quick blink of 3rd on the dash and straight to 4th under WOT shifts fine 2nd to 3rd then to 4th. Just not understanding why I seems to skip over 3rd at mid throttle. Any Ideas anyone else experience this

It's likely due to the ECU's SST-related tables, then. They may have been edited in such a way as to affect throttle-related upshift decisions... probably with "more clutch pressure" in mind.

When it comes to those tables, it's all an interconnected web of fun getting SST tuning right.

Thank you for a little insight. I bought it used took the time to research all the parts on the car fixed a few. Upgraded a few. Can only guess it has an x base tune only because it runs without any CEL's or major problems car shifts great in sport auto and in manual mode just that weird second gear in auto normal. I planning on some exhaust a boost pill. Not sure if it has been changed or not best way to know for sure is just to change it myself. Think I will add a grimmspeed 3 port EBC. Add a 18psi actuator. Then get a real dyno tune so I know what is on the ECU myself. Should I or is there a need to upgrade the fuel system with whats to be done.

Plans for later on is a trans rebuild with a deep pan upgrade and clutches!!!! then some brakes and suspension. Then more POWER.
