My wife's '09 RA has started to slip alot in the higher gears under normal DDing conditions. 76k miles. Car has appointment on Tuesday at the dealer to see what it needs. I think it just needs SST fluid changed since it's never been done (she is second owner)...she thinks the trans is about to die, and dealer thinks its a software fix.

 

If you're at 76k and never changed the SST fluid then most likely your trans is dead.

Good luck with this though, cause the dealer will most likely tell you that it died because you failed to do the required maintenance to it. That's a 10 thousand dollar transmission. Best pray to the lord almighty that it's not dedz.

If it is a software thing, have them change the SST fluid while it's there.

 

It may not be dead at all... a fluid change can apparently work wonders.

I'm at 70,000 kms and the dealership diagnosed it as it needed a fluid change. Got that done, but the transmission still isn't 100% ... How did your wife end up??
