has anyone experienced this?
i was on a trackday on snow in my evo x mr '08,was approaching a lefthand turn in 5th,made the scandinavian flick,the car was going sideways at about 45-50mph and suddenly the transmission downshifted into 1st.it didn't allow me to upshift for a few seconds.and all this in s-sport manual mode.the car is completely stock.milage 22000. in a few seconds "service ttransmission" lit up.but in half a lap it was gone.the same situation repeated one more time-this time from 3rd into 1st.
what could this be?is it echanical or electronic?how is it cured?

 

ur car still has warranty, might as well take it to dealership to check on transmission
