Funny story actually.
So i got the service transmission light on in my 08 MR i bought about 6 months back, and i just about s*** my pants because of the possible 10k repair and the car shouldn't be under warranty. So i call Jacks Transmissions here in town as well as Mitsubishi, Jacks was going to charge little over $100 to look at it, and Mitsubishi had the belt finally for the recall so i took it to them to take a look at it. They tell me my evo is still until warranty till the next day! So since the previous owner had "Contaminated" fluid in the trans, i was required to change the fluid for $600 and they warrantied the valve body.
I was at 54,000 miles when this happened, does anyone know of any specific cause for the valve body failure?
