About Evo x torque converter

A mechanic told me he found some spring was broken in torque converter during replacing clutch disk, Is there springs in there?

If I buy new one, how much is it and where can I buy it?

It was torque converter. I got it.

Someone told me it's torque damper.

assuming u have the sst transmission, he's replacing the clutches in the basket. there are springs in the hub that hold the clutches apart.
not sure if u can buy the springs. ask the mechanic and see what he says

Someone told me it's torque damper. I mistyped it.

Yep, My EVO has SST transmission.

The mechanic shaked the torque damper and he showed me the shattered springs by phone

I sometimes suddenly put the accelerator pedal off because of traffic jam or fun while RPM is going to high with super sport mode. I think it's the main cause about torque damper crash.

Very common on. Nearly 100% so on 08-2011. Get a new clutch assembly. (From Mitsubishi, not aftermarket just clutch) The new assemblies come with a damper. The 2012+ damper is a major improvement over the early dampers, and they last much longer. What was the reason for opening up the clutch in the first place? Just curious about that.

What are the symptoms, just out of curiosity?

On moderate to light throttle, on off can be pretty jerky. If the car hasn't set a code for it yet, then don't worry about it until you pull the clutch out for repair replacement.
