Why is the Coolant fluid part # the same as the Brake Fluid Part #....

Also...could you share when is the "BEST TIME" to actually replace these fluids?

Thanks

I suppose I did goof that up. They are one digit apart...simple mistake I suppose. *fixed* Thanks for the good call though...that could have been a mess. "Well I put that so-called brake fluid in the system and well...my brakes no worky now".

I shall see if I cant round up some maint. scheduling and put that up to. I plan on completely updating this post with a lot of factory information that should help people out.

awesome thread. That info is honestly really hard to find, even with the search button. And since you have part #'s on there, that makes it that much better!!!

Why are the 5sp and 6sp gear oil listed as the same part number?

Because you can use the Diaqueen M/T fluid in both. Basically -- it is the same.

This is straight out of Mitsubishi's technical manual. The diaqueen 75w85 works in the 5 & 6 speed transmission's.

This is confusing... so if I ordered part #: MZ313376 Will i get regular diaqueen for the 5 spd, or the SUPER diaqueen for the 6 speed? They are 2 different fluids

Yes there are 2. One is LSD and one is for the manual transmission.

I know this is in the manual....but since the manual is stashed away...when you have a chance could you post recommended replacement schedules?

Thanks for your work on this

This is something I had already promised doing and I havent really had the time. For what ever reason my computer will not let me get into Mitsubishi. I have to go to another terminal and do it. I am the only person in the dealership who has photoshop and I need that to pull the images to post for you guys. I think its in an Acrobat file though...its is like 437 pages long though. If it is small enough to go on my 4G Flash drive I will save it and see if I can get that thing posted for you guys to use.

I apologize for the wait.

I thought it went like this
5 speed 7585 diaqueen
6 speed Diaqueen 7585 SUPER MULTI
rear & case diaqueen LSD..
There are 3 different lubricants, and just because we CAN use either in the 6 speed does not mean it will work as well.
