MAP O2 Eliminator Downpipes for Evolution VIII and IX
Update of the 02 eliminator downpipe, you don't have to unbolt it from the turbo to do a clutch job. I just got back from English Racing today, and the mechanic only had to unbolt the cat flange to pull the transfer case. Apparently there is enough movement in the flex joint ( barely) but enough to do the work and still leave the turbo side bolted up.
So if you were sitting on the fence, here is one more reason to go ahead and get one.
Thanks again

I am sitting in the airport here in Austin waiting for my flight to Denver and a final destination of Tucson. What better way than to look for EVO parts on a MAP thread? By the way, I have one of the videos playing in the background and people are looking at me all crazy. At any rate, the IX that I am currently looking at already has a Visnu 3" downpipe and a Greddy catback exhaust. In my opinion, that it too quiet for me. I had the MAP O2 dump on my VIII and loved it. I will be using ECU Flash and more than likely pushing the EF3. I am wondering if the O2 eliminator with an external Tial wastegate is overkill. If so, I have no issues going without the external wastegate. What do you guys recommend as an exhaust replacement for the Greddy? Keep in mind, I want something loud. Thanks in advance.
You will love the Greddy after a couple thousand miles of open wastegate. I like their exhaust and it's not a bad idea to keep it, you can still make power on it without an issue.
If you are going to be running our EF3, it won't hurt to run the MVS/Comp40 style downpipe we offer. It will have the external dump sound that you want and the boost control desired to run with our turbo. I would definitely recommend it!
