Thumbs up Many thanks to MAPerformance

Now that things have settled down I felt the need to make my own personal review for MAPerformance.

First off I want to thank the entire team at MAP for the help they've given me over the last 6+ weeks with my build. A great many thanks needs to go out to Nate who truly gave me some of the best pricing available out there. Also I want to thank Junior who answered and helped with nearly all my shipping/order related questions/needs on my order.

The Evo community is fairly new to me because I come from the Subaru world. I took a great deal of time to find out who the most reliable vendors were and who gave some of the best customer service. I knew I didn't want to really reach out going used parts because I continuously saw the problems members ran into with disputes/wrongful transactions, so going new was important in order to get everything I needed within a timely manner.

As many know having the perfect combination of parts is vital to really meet the expectations you want from your car. It took me many months of planning and continuously changing my mind until I knew exactly the setup I wanted to start off with on my Evo 9. Once I figured that out I decided to put my trust into the team at MAPerformance. I didn't even start with a small order to see how things were, I went big and needed $7,000.00 in parts right off the bat. The list was substantial and I'll be honest I'm pretty sure Nate thought I was full of crap. (It was pages long) It would have literally taken him hours to have given me a quote for the huge list of parts I needed in addition to the added options I wanted. I'm quite certain many people PM him all the time with these huge part lists, make him waste time on quotes and they never call back again. However, to show I was serious Nate asked if I was willing to organize the list on the website to speed up the quote process. I happily agreed and had it done for him by the next day. He was extremely grateful to have that load of work taken away and because of it gave me a great package deal.

MAP always makes the claim that if they don't have something on their website that they will almost always be able to get it. There was certainly no exception to this statement. Various items were not listed or at least not in the Evo section in particular. From PLX, to Works, to Snow Performance.... Nate took care of it. I think the only thing he couldn't get was a part I needed from ProEfi (which was expected because most vendors cannot).

Anyways, Nate was always responded back to my e-mails and anything I changed or added last minute was taken care of and at a great price.

While I do thank the team entirely, Chris Amundson aka Junior...you are the man lol. Folks... between Junior and Nate I probably exchanged 30-40 emails, and maybe a dozen+ phone calls on questions relating to my order. I give out additional thanks to Junior because I started to have a time crunch come up with getting my order in. (Mostly because I made the error of not planning the time needed for made to order items) I had shop time already scheduled and a dyno rental because we only have 1 awd dyno available to us. Junior did everything in his power to expedite my order and had everything overnight shipped to me as soon as it was available. There was some errors in tracking numbers.. meaning some items were expected to arrive at MAP at a certain time but got mixed up with different items. However, Junior made sure to relay the mix ups as soon as possible and in the end everything came together just fine.

To the machinists/fabricators at the shop thank you for the speedy times on the port work. You may be behind the scenes but know that as a customer I know you're there and your hard work helped meet my requirements.

I also do know that when I placed my order it was in a very busy time.. not just for the season in general but the Boost for Boobies event was right around the corner. Email responses did in fact sometimes take awhile to come back and I had to call to get immediate responses on important questions. However, each time there was a delay, the team always expressed their apologies.

In short folks this is a great vendor to work with. If for whatever reason you're unsure whether to go with them or not... just do it. They are easily 1 of the top 5 on this website and truly give a damn about their customers. Their pricing and package deals reflect that and I intend to push as much business their way as my Evo continues to grow.

MAPerformance. Thanks again from all the way up north in the AK.
-Brian

Some pictures I wanted to share of the parts I ordered. These include MAPs, heatshield, O2 dump (All ceramic coated). -- (Sadly I forgot to get pictures of the ceramic coated Rev2) I had a hard time finding pictures for these items when coated so I wanted to share for those looking in the future.

HAHAHAHA...I remember the first PM you sent me...it WAS a wall of text...HAHAHAHA...We worked through the wall of text and figured everything out and I'm just super stoked that you're happy with your purchase and your experience. Honestly, I can't even take too much credit, you knew what you wanted, I just had a lot of pricing to figure out for you...mostly and Junior really is the best possible customer service person you could possibly ask for!

Anyways...it's always great to hear that someone is happy with their experience and I look forward to seeing your progress, my friend!

Nate

It certainly took me awhile to finally be pleased with the list. I did so many revisions over the months to ensure everything complimented each other and I truly did appreciate you adding the last minute things that came to mind after the base order was done.

With that said as you know I'll be in touch soon Nate for the next round of parts. It's taken a me a few days to start narrowing down what I need.

@Chris. Quick suggestion: Whoever handles the site should look into the review photo upload option. I have to constantly keep retrying at uploading a photo w/ a review, otherwise it just sits there uploading w/ no progress. Really delays trying to create a complete review on your website.
