I went to my third auto-x this weekend. I grabbed 4th overall. Fastest stock suspension, non slick car there. My evo has speed mods no real handling mods.
I was 11th after the morning session. I made a tire pressure adjustment, up to 51lbs up front on the Dunlop FM901s and 44 in the rear. Gave the car a lot more turn in and a full second off my best morning session lap. 1st place went to a Subaru RS with suspension and Hoosier slicks, not to mention a really good driver. 2nd was a Subaru WRX with TEIN coil overs and some of the gummiest Bridgestones I have ever seen. I swear if those tires didnt' have groves in them they were slicks. 3rd was an Acura Integra driven by the brother of the 1st place subbie. The Integra besides having a great driver had suspenion, sway bars, and the usual strut braces. I was about .4 behind 2nd and .2behind 3rd. Not to shabby for only my third time.
