Don't blame Bernie. Max Mosley (Pres of the FIA) and the FIA dictate the rules. David Richards runs the TV side of WRC. He also runs Prodrive and British American Racing (BAR) in F-1. Max is also the one jamming new rules down people's throats in F-1. 2.4 L V-8s, here we come.

I wonder what Subaru will do. Max’s proposal is that all WRC cars will run normally aspirated inline 4 cylinder engines.

yeah, that's true. Max Mosley is more responsible, but I could not think of his name at the time.

To make matters worse for subaru, the new regulations dictate a transverse mounted transmission and engine.

How is subaru going to deal with that I wonder...
