Some new pics of my Evo at Sears Point

Just got back from Sears Point (now called Infineon Raceway), in Northern CA, from a 2 day DE event where I was instructing.
Monday was raining like crazy, but it did dry up tuesday. The evo in the rain is a blast, but you gotta know how to drive it, especially at Sears Point where there are walls virtually everywhere. Some pple paid the price of being too aggressive, unfortunately.

I definitely need to replace my brake pads, they suck after being hot, they fade like crazy.

There was also a skidpad setup, what better way to learn the car than on there, especially when wet. Seems I had the best traction when Snow ACD mode was on, but drifting is much easier with gravel and tarmac settings of course. I cannot wait to get the K2 ACD ECU to have more fun, as it will react MUCH quicker than the stock one.

So as promised, here are some pics, taken by a friend of mine.

No the side vent doesn't do anything, it only does for rally regulations where they put the air intake there. Our air intake gets air from the front. The side vent is directly above the fuse box, won't do much good :-)

LancerEvolution,

I did good in a sense that I didn't crash It wasn't a timed event, just Driver Education. So the goal is to get home in one piece

On monday, I obviously had an unfair advantage, as I was driving an AWD and an amazing car I passed everyone and no one passed me, even in the fastest group that I run in.

On tuesday, it dried up, so people picked up the pace. I took it easy, still learning the track, and I also was on crappy street tires too. Sears is a very rewarding track to get right, but the slightest mistake, and 99% you'll hit the wall. Always remember that when pushing 10/10th.

LancerEvolution: the wheels in the pics are the stock rims, my superleggeras are at home right now.
Many different cars were there, from S2000s to E46 M3/Mcoupe, to Z06s, Vipers, tons of Porsches (including a REAL GT2 !!!), tons of Miatas, and last but not least, a Radical SR3 (that hot LeMans looking car in the background of the last pic (in yellow) ). That thing just flies, I got a ride in it for the 2nd time since last track event, it's unbelievable. 1,050 lbs, 200HP, sequential 6-speed tranny, wow !!! AND it's a STREET LEGAL car in the UK !! yeah, I can see driving one of those every day, whatever !

TearItUp: no lap times, unfortunately, sorry. Next time

cupOznj: read comments on Radical above.

M3 Stylelab: I drive it on the street/freeway every day. In fact, I drove up to Sears Point and back with it (over 800 mi round trip)
