Japan was awesome. Mitsu looked very strong untill day three. I wasn't surprised Galli knocked off a wheel, the way he drives it looks more like hes just plowing through the stage. That video of him giving the tennis player an exhibition ride was priceless. Man, and Peter, that sucked. It looked like he was going to cry when they tried to interview him.

Thumbs up Rally Australia (Kangaroo vs Lancer 2005 WRC)

With Harri Rovanpera slinging the Lancer WRC aggressively(and proving it is Kangaroo proof), and very few rivals remaining, Speed finally provided more than few moments of TV coverage for the Mitsubishi team. Let's hope Galli, Panizzi, and Rovanpera will get the 2006 Lancer WRC some wins next season.

McRae looked good. With Skoda gone, is he coming to mistubishi? I heard that rumor somewhere along the line. He was keeping up with Rovanpera even when he had to manually shift.

Because they don't score any manufacturers points for entering car shows.

As per WRC.com, Gigi Galli will be driving a WRC05 Mitsubishi in Monte Carlo & Sweden. 2006 is looking up already!

What does this mean?

Japanese manufacturer Mitsubishi has said it's keen to stay involved with the World Rally Championship in a privateer capacity whilst it considers a potential full-time works comeback in 2008. The firm opted to follow Peugeot, Citroen and Skoda out of rallying's top level for this year, but will support works driver Gigi Galli.

Is Galli sort of an independant entry now with equipment from Mitsu but not an official Mitsu team? What is "works driver"? Mitsubishi has pulled out of the rally officially but is in a lesser capacity?

Is World Rally like dead? 4 teams pulled out!

WORKS refers to a team directly financed and supported by the automotive mfgr. Mitsubishi is not directly supporting the team Gigi is driving for, but the cars he will be running are the cars from last year run by a privately financed team.
