Ok,

Their installed. Fit and finsih is very good. Unfortunately, with the progressive springs being really long it looks like the 275 tires are not going to fit, at least not on 17x9 et 35 wheels. The 255's on the rims now only have 1/4 - 3/8 clearance to the spring. Anyone know what Robi did? Alighnment and corner weighting tomorrow. First race with the new suspension is Monday at Thunderhill.

Spring rates are 650 front and 700 rear. 700 is as stiff as they go.

Bill

275's

Ok,

So Robi is using 17x9.5 44mm with a 5mm spacer (Hopefully he does mind me posting that). This didn't seem posssible until I set the car's ride height. Last night it was a bit higher than stock. Once I set it up to my "normal" ride height (7/8" lower than stock) the clearance grew substanialy, geometry angles, etc... Looks like the 275's will fit no problem.

I got both front camber plates and rear pillow ball mounts, just didn't take a picture of them. The DMS camber plates are a work of art. Billet aluminum, machined down.

Glad to hear about the tire fitment, (including robi's)

yeah.. Robi is one of those guys that just love doing this so much that he doesnt mind sharing information.

(with out trying to sound like I am up his *** too far )

Anyone who is even remotely considering going to the track with an Evo should talk with Robi.

Bad Race Day

Racing, well it would have been nice. Filled up at Thunderhill pump #2 (100 unlead) when I got to the track. After that every time the car went into boost it would miss, stumble, etc... Spent the next 2.5 hours trying to find why, boost leak, spark, etc... to no avail. Car would run fine out of boost. Just as I was all loaded up a friend of mine came by (EVO) with exacty the same problems. He had used the 110 leaded. Hmmmm.

Had San Rafael Mitsubishi drain the tank. It appears that there is a lot of oil contamination in the gas. Looks like the Thunderhill tanks have a problem.

Will know more later today.
