broken anti-roll bar mounting blocks

Yesterday a new clanking sound started coming from the trunk of my car. It turns out that the hotchis mounting blocks on my anti-roll bar were broken. The driver side were complete destroyed and the passenger side were showing signs of cracking too.

My shop (Fifth Gear in Lewisville) took a look at it and said we can do one of two things: get new blocks from hotchis or fabricate better ones. I'm waiting to see how much the fabricated ones are, but I will probably go that route. This first set broke pretty quickly, and I really don't think swapping those mounting blocks looks all that fun.

So if you have an after market sway-bar - watch those mounts!

I have had a few break myself. Call up hotchkis and let them know, they have been great sending out replacements under warrentee.

They have recently upgraded the mounts in an attempt to solve this problem.

Mine just broke recently too. Heard a rattling in the trunk area, so thought I should take a look. Sure enough the bracket broke on the passenger side. Glad I checked. I'll call Hotchkis tomorrow and try to get my shop to fix the current bracket to make it through an autocross this weekend.
