Taping head lamps on the track

Hi all,
I am taking my evo to the track for the first time. What type of tape should I use to cover the head lamp? Would normal duck tape do?

Thanks for advices.

Jim

duct tape will work... but it may leave some residue left on the light... i normally use masking tape... it's easy to take off at the end of the day

Don't use duct tape. Their nasty to clean after you rip 'em out.

Use electrical tape ( Black )

to assure that if your headllights ever shatter due to a rock being flinged at it... it'll crack... but the tape will somewhat hold it together so it won't go all over the track and damage/injure someone or something else... also it looks really cool...

our headlights are made of high ABS plastic though... so it'll take some effort to really bust them

It also helps protect them from scratches. A lot of fine grit gets thrown in the air and at 100+mph it's pretty abrasive to plastic.

But you look so much cooler when you drive in to town for gas with taped lights!
