SOLO2 @ Hollywood Park
Me (Kareem) and UrbanKnight (Brian) went to the SOLO2 autocross at Hollywood Park today. It was so much fun, watching the other cars and laughing at those high lap times
. N e wayz, here are some pix:

My Lancer with Brian's

Another picture of the Lancers

Last picture of the 2 Lancers

Brian at the end of the lineup

Movin' up to the start line

Not quite there yet

Almost there

At the starting line

And... He's OFF!!!

Coming in for the finish

Run #1 time (Brian's goal was to get under 60 seconds)

Movin' up to the start line again

Almost there

Starting in 1, 2... and 3!!!

Look at him go!

Coming into the finish once again...
Brian's first run was 62.262, his second was 61.105 and his last run was 60.952 (I think). He did pretty good. I have a video of his second run, but it's 8 megabytes in size (too big to upload to my webspace). I'll e-mail it to anyone who requests it. This even was great fun, Ill sign up for a membership so i can race next time. We should get the SCLC club to join this event. There is a tite Subaru team there. Me and Bryan were the only Lancers there... heck, we were the only Mitsubishis there I think. Maybe I remember seeing 1 eclipse, but that's it.
Post some comments people.

Brian, when are we going to hit that Go-Kart track by my place? Maybe I can teach you a few lessons in driving...

actually, I do need to take a racing school, but from an actual racing teacher, not someone who learned how to draft and drift on the 101 freeway!

Yeah, at tech inspection this morning, the official complimented my color choice and then stared under my hood after I was already cleared (check out the red hoses, strut bar, and intake on my registry), and the time recorder asked me how I liked my car. Although I admit that subaru blue is my favorite car color, thunder gray is a close second. Wise choice in car and color, Azyan!
thos pics are nice man....heh brian..ur tire threads are cool looking...hmm...u riding on stock suspensions huh...gotte get some stiffer springs man!! i can totally felt the difference on mine!!! and plus it'll look better!!
Hey Junior, I just wanted to let u kno that Brian wasnt really competing against everyone else. He set a goal for himself, which is to get a track time under 60 seconds. He ALMOST accomplished his goal on the last run getting a 60.952
I am mailing in my form to be able to compete today, It costs $30 to get a score card and thats it. Each race u enter u pay $20. It's so fun just being there, and im guessing its HELLA fun competing in the events. Before you race tho, you have to "work" on the track, that means u go to a predetermined position on the track and if a car knocks over cones u put em back without being run over
Well, thats it for now. Anyone maybe have part upgrade recommendations for Brian like Will recommending the springs?
