Just a heads up to everyone that there is a rally race in Wellsboro Pennsylvania on June 4th and 5th. I've been attending for the past 5 years or so and its a good time. Get to watch the cars race and also get up close and check them out while the crew works on them at "the green" in the center of town. Racing starts June 4th in the morning first spectator point in the past has been " the water crossing" the cars cross a stream at the the end of the first stage, the big boys tend to do it at quite a decent speed providing lots of entertainment! The race continues all day and ends on the 5th at around 2-3 am. More info can be found at http://www.stpr.org/ .

I'm tired of seeing Subarus all weekend! I like subies too, but after you have seen over 300 of them they all look the same! I swear every other car I see is WRC blue! This rally is located in the middle of nowhere, but it is wihin a 4 hour drive for most of PA, NY, NJ and eastern Ohio! And the roads getting to and from are very scenic and a blast to drive on as well. I would love to see more than 10 evos there this year!

 

Its quickly approaching! I cant' wait. The most exciting form of auto racing out there. Lets get some more evo's there tho.

 

jerdeitzel, what color 8 do you drive, I'll keep an eye out for you! I have a black 8 with tinted windows.

I agree that the Mitsu community is poorly representated at this event. It's especially sad because there other evo models represted. Tentative starting grid shows evo IV, VI, and VIII. I love the 6, got to sit in the six last year, quite similar to our 8. Long story invloving them running out of spare tires. I think you may find the story on here somewhere from last year.

We are heading up on Friday morning to check out the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon and the the rally on Sat and Sun. Usually fri night the suby guys get together at the grocery store parking lot in town. I'm usually there as well since my buddy has an STI. They are all pretty cool and we hang out and bs car and rally talk for a few hours. Last year iI even think there were 2 vendors there with us.

I saw a few evos there that belonged to spectators. 1- white, 1 silver that I parked next to in the pizza hut parking lot, a black one without tinted windows that was parked at the church fri afternoon. And mine that was black with tinted windows. Bump for a good time and I should be posting some pics and video up in the next couple days as soon as i find time to edit it.

 

OH yes it was fun! I saw the same evo's. I did see yours parked on one of the stages. I didn't bring the evo. I had my truck. As usuall we were swamped by subie's. I've got some pretty good pics at the green. i'll post some later also.

 

I ran in my 87 GTI #629 but must have going to fast and hit a bank and rolled. All are fine and the car will live again. Dose any one have pic's or video of the mis hap.
