Quote: I meant no offense if the lap time comment. I was just trying to nail down a ballpark time to gauge myself by when I do go.
Non taken.........

The splitter was a little to much for my style...................so I pulled out the jigsaw and cut 2 inchs off the front. Now its just a "carbon fiber splash guard"

1:37 is moving............I am now more curious what I was running.

My car is down until I get some new tires and get a clutch installed, but yes I will be there a few more times this summer.

I need to sell a 3" VIshnu Standard Turbo back exhuast system with about 2500 miles on it ($600.00) retails for $1150.00.........................and I will pick up some tires.

babyracing.com is preparing another exciting open track day at GingerMan Raceway, Thursday, July 28th, 2005. Format will be the same as in the past, track opens at 9AM and closes at 5PM, with a 1 hour lunch break. There will be open sessions for the entire day. The price is $155 per person.

So is Gingerman basically a 3rd and 4th gear track? I have looked at a track map and it looks like there may be a couple places to drop down into 2nd, but I am not sure. What types of speeds are you hitting on the straights?

Any tips on driving Gingerman in the EVO? I was late axexing everything at the Autobahn North Course. This seemed the quickest way around, but I do not have a lap timer so it was based purely on speculation (I was hitting around 115 mph on the front straight), and the fact that I left an NSX and a ZO6 in the dust (not sure how good the drivers were).

Yep, 3rd and 4th. I never left those two gears all weekend. Only got to 4th on the straights. I would get around 100 mph at the end of the 10-11 straight, maybe the 11-1 straight but I'm looking ahead for that one.

The track is nothing but late apexes, but easy to figure out. Good luck with 5 & 6. I got in aobut 100 miles on that track and did 5 & 6 different every single time. Stay on the throttle through the 7-8-9 or that rear end will want to come around. Just lift off the throttle right before the turn in for 9 to let the car settle then get right back on the gas. I was full throttle before I even hit the apex for 9 and just let it track all the way out.

As far as times go I decided not to take any lap times because it was my first time at Gingerman. Maybe next time.

Also, turn 2 is a double apex turn, I clip the first apex only, then track out, completely avoiding the second one. That action allows me to accelerate sooner.

I was timed by a friend using a stopwatch outside the car in my bone-stock Evo on Advans at 1:39 when I was there last year. I had never been there before/since. It's a great track.
