headlights

is anyone pulling their headlights off for weight savings? if you have, how difficult are they to remove? hours and hours, or fifteen minutes?

Never heard of anyone doing it. May affect aerodynamics of the front end. I pulled mine off to black them out, and it took about 20 minutes. Really easy, even moreso if you pull off the front bumper. There's a good sticky in the How-to forum on this...

Takes about 20 min to pull off the bumper, I'd say it wouldn't be worth it.

Usually when I see headight assemblies removed it's because there's a filter sitting behind the housing. Are people really doing this for weight savings? I know every pound counts, but c'mon...a diet would probably benefit most people more than this.

And if the Evo is anything like the Lancer I say 10 minutes tops the first time, 5 anytime after.
