Final consensus on camber plates
It's tough to describe but it takes bumps differently since the movement is no longer linear. You get a little different contact with the ground when the strut moves with it being able to pivot in any direction.

Uh, PDE does not make DMS top mounts anymore. These are manufactured IN HOUSE at DMS North America. Also, PDE does not have an EVO top mount or subaru rear or evo rear.
In the next 3 months we will have mazda, honda and GTO applications ready as well.
DMS manufactured mounts are all clear anodized, design has also been upgraded to accomodate strut tower bars as well. Units willl fit on OEM struts, must specify this fitment kit when ordering though.

thanks for the correction. Can we still buy the camber plates separately?

Have you seen my custom designed caster/camber plates? I had an extra set made to fill the minimum job order that replace JIC's top camber plate as well as other brands.

The other option I can do is to turn the cam bolt that attach the strut to spindle 180 degree to gain more negative camber.
I set the front toe to 0 degree which improve turn in and reduce understeer but sacrefice straight line stability.

i'm guessing it looked kinda like this:
http://www.ground-control-store.com/...2031.75_dp.jpg
... which is pretty much what my friend has. now, we might have been doing it wrong, but the one time i helped him adjust his camber (he had preset marks for street/track settings) it seemed like there was no way to do it while keeping his camber setting intact. loosen up the nuts, and the strut's just kinda swimming around in that big hole in the mount. the website says that camber and caster are separately adjustable so, again, it could have just been ignorance.
i haven't seen the GC evo camber plate, it sounds nice, from what you guys are saying. been waiting to see a coilover from them for a long time, no luck so far...
edit: hey wait, is the GC evo setup just a generic camber plate? i just found that page:
http://www.ground-control-store.com/...egory.php/CA=7
... and i guess the generic 3 bolt plate would work? interesting, for sure. i've been happy with my cuscos, they did what i wanted, but the caster adjustment would be tres cool....
hmm.

Should I get them? They are 250 bucks. Should I use another brand. Are the stock ones fine?

on that note- someone was asking about this or that brand increasing vibration: rest assured, pulling out your nice squishy rubber mounts and replacing them with metal mounts- ANY metal mounts- WILL result in a major increase in NVH. of all my chassis tinkering, this is the one change that was noticed by my wife, who groused about it a bit.
the tradeoff was worth it to me, but the change was indeed drastic. and this was just for the fronts.
I'm getting ready to place an order for a set of springs and camber plates. Based on reading this I'm leaning toward the GC plates and a set of Hotchkis springs.
My only concern is whether or not the plates will break from daily use. Does anybody have any experience with this?

bolts inside shouldn't move... Am I missing something?

made no sense to me at the time, but really- the hardware was different enough from my cusco plates that it was just completely foreign to me.
knowing that the adjustment is definitely separate in our application makes these GC units sound interesting, though. can anyone say for sure if whatever problem they had has been resolved?

hey! crap! the pic shows up today, i just noticed it! dns problems at my end, i think...
ok, so heres the thing- no, that's not the plate that's on ed's coilovers. see those nice slots that keep the adjustment in a single plane? no such thing on his plates. look at the link i posted, and though the pic is not nearly as clear as yours, you can see the plate has no such slotting.
actually, since i just noticed how to link to an image, i can make it even easier, and maybe find a better shot, too...
here we go:

see the difference? loosen those three bolts, and you're completely on your own....
after a little poking around, this (e46 M3) is the only application i see on their site that is configured this way, so there is presumably a very different method to adjusting it- one that we couldn't figure out in the coliseum parking lot with 15 minutes to spare before his run group.
but i would think that it is actually designed to allow separate adjustment...
Hey Guys,
