Hawk Blue/Wheel Cleaning

Since the Hawk blue track pads are corrosive, what's the best way to clean the wheels after a track day. Some have stated that getting the dust wet will cause the wheels to corrode so is it best to spray them off with air before washing them or what. Wheels are dedicated track wheels with R comps but I would like the wheels to last a while and not be pitted up and nasty. Thanks

You can get them wet to clean them, but just don't let them get wet and then dry off without getting it good and clean. I've just been using Meguirs Hot Wheels cleaner, like I do on my daily wheels and it comes right off. All the rubber you pick up seems harder to get off then the brake dust. Basically just keep up with it and it won't be a problem.

Just make sure to clean off after each track event. Don't leave for days
