For anyone interested in this years 25 hours of Thunderhill; The ART Subaru STI took 3rd place overall in the annual 25 hour enduro race today. Beautiful car - very well prepared. Suby driver Gary Sheehan was one of the drivers as was C&D editor. No EVOs entered this year. Lots of back slapping over at that other 4wd web site today. You should be happy an sti was even entered, let alone took a podium spot! It's rare to see either car in any visible race this side of the ocean. I'm glad to see the sti fared as well as it did, it proves that awd turbo charged cars like ours can compete not only in a racing environment, but a punishing endurance event like this one. Kudos to the team for their strong showing.

 

I agree - Evo and STI are similiar in so many ways and its great to see someone put together a good effort for either one. Cheers,

Unfortunaly there never is. NASA needs a new media dept. This is a great event and should be covered more.

When you look at the C&D site click on the photos as they have tons of photos with great narratives. The STI team used the same manager that the Vishnu team used last year (Marshall Pruett) and did a great job. BTW the new 2006 Honda Civic SI makes a beautiful race car - see photos at C&D site.

 

I wish i lived some place i could get into some real racing. Not just cone crushing....sigh
