Quote: frp is fiberglass reinforced plastic

this particular set is made of cf weave with the resin applied and then excess removed.

typically wet lay is just cf weave with the resin applied... and left on as dead weight.

the weight difference between frp and wet lay is usually minmal however depending on the "thickness" of the wet lay, it can be heavier than frp that is scantily constructed, however of course scantily constructed wet lay is also more capable of being lighter than frp.

dry lay cf is the lightest and also the strongest.
Full carbon support thats what saves the weight. Carbon cloth is significantly lighter then glass fiber and can be layed thinner for the same/greater strength. But it costs more to build it up using carbon cloth which is why almost EVERY "carbonfiber hood" is heavier than the stock evo hood because they use heavy mat and resin to build-up the panal thicknes to the required strength. That is untill you get to the big buck JDM hoods.

I can't wait to drive my car again. See you tonight.
Give me a price on a trunk installed. How do these cars work below 100 mph without the wing. Would you align it differently?

BTW. Robi is there a way to install the wing on the trunk? or do I have to drill my own holes?

Annd.....2 more.

Will the hood fit on the IX?

Is the rain-catch transferable?

Sorry for the old bump....but I have a question about removing the crash beams.

Did you feel the car get less solid with the front and rear crash beams removed?

Do they offer rigidity or frame stiffening?
